Kevin Nicholson was announced as Assistant Manager alongside Dan Green ahead of the 2026/27 season following Matt Taylor's return.
The former Torquay United, Northampton Town and Notts County defender was formerly manager at Torquay United between 2015 and 2018 before he moved to the red side of Devon as Head of Coaching in 2019. He temporarily took charge of City in 2022 following the departure of Matt Taylor, before he was announced as Assistant Manager following the arrival of Gary Caldwell.
Kevin again took charge of the team for three games at the start of 2026 alongside Dan Green in the wake of Caldwell''s departure ahead of Matt Taylor's return to the club for the remainder of the 2025/26 season. With Matt announced as permanent manager of the club in May 2026, Kevin returned to his Assistant Manager post alongside Dan Green for the 2026/27 season.
