Experienced striker Josh Gordon joined Exeter City in June 2026.
Josh joins the Grecians on a one-year deal, with a club held option of a second, after departing EFL Sky Bet League Two side Walsall at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The 31-year-old heads to St James Park with over 250 matches of experience in League One and Two. Josh is a hard-working centre-forward who leads the line well and presses with intensity.
Beginning his senior career with Stafford Rangers, Josh earned a move into the EFL with Leicester City before loan spells with Nuneaton Town and Loughborough Dynamo. He made the permanent switch to Walsall in 2018, where he established himself as a regular in League One.
A move to Burton Albion followed in 2021, with Josh continuing to showcase his work rate and attacking qualities before joining Barrow in 2022. He enjoyed a productive spell with the Bluebirds, helping them challenge at the top end of League Two, scoring 15 goals, before moving to Walsall ahead of the 2024/25 season. Josh spent the last campaign back on loan at Barrow where he made 35 appearances, scoring nine goals.
Now arriving at St James Park, Josh brings a wealth of EFL experience, leadership and know-how to the Grecians' forward line as Matt Taylor's side prepare for the new campaign.
