Defender Liam Cartwright signed his first professional contract with Exeter City in the 2025/26 season.

Liam joined the City Academy as an Under-9 and rose through the ranks before a successful break-out campaign with the Under-18s in the 2023/24 season where he regularly played above his age group, earning him a scholarship in 2024. The 2025/26 season saw Liam become a mainstay in the Premier League Cup side, as well as earn valuable senior experience with loan moves to Tiverton Town and Willand Rovers.

Liam signed his first professional contract with the Grecians ahead of the 2026/27 season on a one year deal with a club option of a second.
