Midfielder Charlie Cummins signed for Exeter City in the 2023/24 January transfer window.

The Irishman joined Cobh Ramblers as a 15-year-old and quickly rose through the ranks to make his first-team debut in the 2022/23 season where the side lifted the Munster Senior Cup. His talent at a young age was plain to see, and he signed for the Grecians in January 2024 for an undisclosed fee and joined a group of Under-21 young professionals. Charlie was immediately loaned out to Mousehole for the rest of the 2023/24 season and helped the Cornish side reach the playoffs.

Charlie made his first-team debut for City in 2025/26 season before a hugely beneficial loan spell at Weston-super-Mare. Charlie was recalled in the second part of the season and became a mainstay in the City squad for the remainder of the season to earn him the DSA Breakthrough Player of the Season award.

The midfielder signed a contract extension ahead of the 2026/27 season that will keep him at St James Park at least until the end of the campaign.
