Jack McMillan shares his thoughts after City drew 1-1 at home to Wigan Athletic.

A first 45 minutes that saw the visitors control the lions share of the game and go 1-0 up meant that City would have to up their game in the second half to rescue any chance of points. "Once we lifted our energy levels in the second half I thought we created a lot." McMillan acknowledged the hard work put in by himself and his teammates, that would go on to help City level the game and control the second half.

City's slower start might have come as a surprise, with Jack reflecting on the previous three games coming into this one. "We've started the last three games exceptionally well, we just didn't have the urge to go and start today's game quick enough." The Grecians will now look to Tuesday, for a trip to Newport County battling it out for a knock-out place in the Vertu Trophy.

"Looking at the last game it was quite a strong team, so I think the manager will hopefully do the same. We take every game seriously, and we hope to get through to the knockout rounds."
