Supporter Experience Roundtable: Have your Say on July 15!

Supporter Experience Roundtable

Over the past few years, our Supporter Experience Roundtables have proved extremely valuable for supporters, Members, the Club and the Supporters' Trust.

The most recent Roundtable took place on February 5 and, as always, generated constructive discussion and fresh ideas to help enhance the supporter experience. We are grateful to everyone who took part and contributed their views.

With the new season fast approaching, we are once again inviting supporters to help shape the experience their Club provides.

Join us on July 15

Our next Supporter Experience Roundtable will take place on Tuesday 15 July (subject to any changes arising from pre-season friendly arrangements).

  • Arrival: 5:45pm
  • Meeting: 6:15pm – 9:00pm

While we are extremely proud of the supporter experience we provide at St James Park, we are always looking for ways to improve. Listening to supporters remains at the heart of that commitment.

Recognition for Supporter Experience

Recent independent EFL audit visits by “mystery shoppers” once again delivered highly positive feedback, resulting in another Gold Award for Exeter City.

The report highlighted several outstanding aspects of the matchday experience, including:

  • Comprehensive matchday and first-time visitor guides on the Club website.
  • A proactive and welcoming Ambassador team that helps new supporters feel at home.
  • A vibrant Fan Zone featuring Supporters' Trust and Academy activities, refreshments and appearances from the Club mascot.
  • The Junior Grecians Zone, described as a “brilliant place for kids to be pre-match and enjoy some different activities to make it truly more than the 90 minutes”.

The report concluded that the Club's commitment to fan engagement is helping to turn first-time visitors into regular attendees and casual fans into lifelong supporters.

This recognition reflects the hard work of everyone involved in delivering the matchday experience, but it also reinforces the importance of continuing to listen, learn and improve.

Your Voice Matters

Feedback received through surveys, written submissions and previous Roundtables demonstrates the shared commitment of both the Club and the Supporters' Trust to meeting and exceeding supporters' expectations.

Throughout the new season, we will continue to hold a series of Supporter Experience Roundtables to better understand supporters' experiences, discuss ideas and identify opportunities for improvement. Previous meetings have provided valuable insights for both the Club and supporters alike.

Thank you for helping us develop and enhance the matchday experience at St James Park.

Who Will Be There?

The Roundtable will once again be chaired by Tony Badcott, Club Director with responsibility for Supporter Experience.

He will be joined by Richard Knight, Supporter Liaison Officer, along with representatives from the Club's management teams.

A full agenda will be circulated after applications close on 8 July.

Refreshments

Light refreshments, including tea and coffee, will be available. There will also be an opportunity to sample some of the new catering options being introduced for the forthcoming season.

How the Session Will Work

Recognising that supporters in different areas of the ground can have different experiences, we plan to begin with separate discussion groups for supporters from:

  • Big Bank
  • Nevada Construction Main Stand
  • Optimising IT Adam Stansfield Stand
