Exeter City midfielder Tom Dean has reacted to the Grecians narrow 1-0 defeat to Truro City in a pre-season friendly.
Speaking at full-time, Tom said: "Ultimately we are disappointed with the result. But it's pre-season and we are working on certain patterns, certain movements in and out of possession. So for me, myself personally it's good to get minutes in the team and the legs.
"Truro are a good side. They are physical, and direct. Obviously I know that myself, having played here at the back end of the last season, and I think they have sort of had a switch of mentality at half time.
"Once they switched sides and they were playing long, the ball was sort of holding up. And I mean, that's how they ended up winning the penalty. Again, we got to stand up to that challenge and be better going forwards."
