The Grecians finally will finally kick-off in the Devon FA Challenge Cup on Sunday 15th February as they face Marine Academy Plymouth at the Exwick Sports Hub.
With a Devon Derby against Plymouth Argyle Women originally scheduled in January at the Exeter Arena, the relentless weather conditions in the South-West halted the ambitions to host a game at the arena for the first time in history. This now means we look ahead to Sunday when Abbie Britton's side will take on Marine Academy Plymouth (MAP) in the Devon FA Challenge Cup. Despite MAP calling Ivybridge their home, the game has been moved to Exwick Sports Hub, a former home of the Grecians.
MAP currently sit in ninth place in their first season in the fourth division of women's football, seven points above the drop zone. A brace of Grecians in Lily Dowling and Jasmine Read have enjoyed a loan spell with the Plymouth side so far this season, an important opportunity for both clubs to co-operate and develop young players in the South-West.
