Exeter City Women are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young striker Emily Pitman, subject to FA registration!
The 21-year-old joins the club from Portsmouth, having spent two seasons as a professional in the second tier.
Emily learnt her trade in Arsenal's PGA before making the switch to the south coast in 2023, where she made an immediate impression, scoring seven goals in 29 appearances as Pompey won the WNL Southern Premier League in 2024.
Midway through the 2024/25 season, Emily suffered a significant knee injury, but she fought her way back to fitness and returned to the side earlier this year.
Speaking about the move to Devon, Emily said: "There was a lot of new faces, but everyone was so welcoming so it was such a nice place to come into. I've recently moved in with a couple of the girls and so far, so good!
"It feels really good to be here and I can't wait to get started!"
Speaking about her latest Grecian, Abbie Britton said: "Emily fits the profile of player we have worked so hard to recruit this season, young, ambitious and keen to make a big impact.
"She has scored goals at tier three and had experience in the WSL 2 with Portsmouth, and is another player that has moved to Devon for the season. I am excited to see how she grows in the season and becomes a serious goal threat for the team."
Emily will wear the number 17 shirt for the 2026/27 season, and has been sponsored by KB Legal for the season! Thank you to Katrina and the team for your support!
