After much anticipation and build-up, the EFL fixtures were finally revealed at 9am today, with Exeter City’s EFL Sky Bet League 2 campaign kicking off with the visit of Carlisle United.
Matt Taylor will begin his City-reign on Saturday, August 4 at St James Park against a Carlisle United side that pushed for the play-offs last season.
The opening weekend is followed in quick succession by the first round of the Carabao Cup in the week commencing August 13. The Grecians will take on Championship Ipswich Town at SJP with the date to be confirmed after the TV matches have been announced.
City’s first away match of the campaign comes on Saturday, August 11 as the Grecians make the mammoth journey to Morecambe.
