Captain Fantastic Matt Jay spoke to us after his brace helped the Grecians secure a place in round two of the Emirates FA Cup.
A goal either side of the extra-time half-time break saw the City sail through after a complete performance against Derek Adams' Bantams.
"I knew yesterday I wasn't going to be starting the game but that I'd play a part, and with the five-sub rule that helped out. I am delighted to come off the bench at a good time and help the boys out," he said.
"That was a good half an hour for me and one I'll remember for sure.I don't think I deserved Man of the Match at all, because that was a real team effort.
"We knew before the game it would take a collective effort."
