All you need to know about Saturday's match

The Grecians are next on the road on Saturday, February 10 to take on Wigan Athletic.

Match Tickets

We have been initally allocated 362 tickets in the North Stand at the DW Stadium.

  • Adult: £20
  • Senior (65+): £15
  • Young Person (18-21): £15
  • Under-18: £10
  • Under-12: £5
  • Disabled: £20 (relevant concession price applies, carer free)

The DW Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Robin Park in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. It is used by Wigan Athletic football club and Wigan Warriors rugby league club. The stadium is owned by The Wigan Football Company.

How to get there

By Car

You can plan your journey to Wigan by heading over to Google Maps and typing in 15 Loire Dr, Robin Park Rd, Wigan WN5 0UH.

The journey from Exeter takes around four hours and 15 minutes.

By Train

Wigan is served by two railway stations (almost opposite each other on Wallgate in Wigan), Wigan Northern Western and Wigan Wallgate.

Wigan North Western is on the West coast main line with links to Liverpool while Wigan Wallgate is used for regional services to Manchester, Southport and Liverpool (via Kirkby).

Taxis are available from outside Wigan North Western station which approximate 1.4 miles away from the DW Stadium. A taxi to the DW Stadium should cost approximately £5 from Wigan North Western station.

 

Grecian Travel

Grecian Travel, completely run by the Supporters' Club, and not for profit, will be available for City's trip to Wigan.

  • The coach will depart from Unit 1 nightclub at 7am for a fare of £40.

Other pick-up points include: Honiton Road park and ride (by Miller and Carter Steakhouse), junction 28 (Cullompton services), junction 27 (Tiverton), junction 25 (Taunton). All other pick-ups by prior arrangement.

Currently Grecian Travel can only be booked directly.

East Devon Travel

East Devon Travel, completely run by the East Devon Grecians and not for profit, will be available for City's trip to Wigan.

  • The coach will depart from Honiton at 6:15am for a fare of £35.

Other pick-up points include: Honiton Road Park and Ride at 6:45am Cullompton, Tiverton and Taunton pick up on request!

Parking

The DW Stadium has 2000 car parking spaces located around the stadium. Please refrain from using the Robin Retail Park, cinema, Asda and B+Q car parks as these are not official car parks. Supporters who use these car parks are at risk of being clamped and fined.

Please note that the DW Stadidum is fully cashless.

The Family Zone

The family zone open to all supporters both home and away an hour and a half before kick off at every weekend fixture.

Free to enter activities on offer include: Football competitions, games consoles, pool, table football, and face painting.

Refreshments are available with free tea and coffee for adults and free fruit for youngsters. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Family Zone also incorporates The Game Zone, home to games consoles allowing younger fans to pit their wits against fellow fans and sometimes even first team players.

Shops, Restaurants and Pubs

 

The DW Stadium is positioned adjacent to Robin Retail Park, which is home to several large stores including Currys PC World, Next, Boots, Smyths Toys, Argos and Pets at Home. Within Next is a Costa Coffee café, whilst Burger King, KFC and Subway are at the far side of the retail park. The Red Robin pub is approx. 500 yards from the stadium and is welcoming to all supporters, but is used mainly by fans of the visiting club.

Pubs for Away Fans

For away supporters, the Marquee Suite in the North Stand is a free-to-enter match day bar for away fans which is open for most fixtures at the DW Stadium. You will be able to buy hot and cold drinks and food, and watch football on the big screen.

Additionally, the Red Robin pub, located in the nearby retail park, is welcoming to both home and away supporters, and serves a range of pub food and drinks.

The Weather

At the time of writing the weather is forecast for light rain and temperatures of 7, so it's best to wrap up warm and take a coat to stay dry!

The total distance from Exeter to Wigan is 243 miles and takes around four hours and 15 minutes each way.
