📝 Women: Kerry Bartlett signs for City

2 February 2024

Exeter City Women have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of experienced forward Kerry Bartlett.

Bartlett arrives in Devon after a spell in South Wales with Cardiff City Ladies, helping the Dragons to a title success last season with ten goals from her ten starts. Spending a successful spell of her career at Keynsham Town, Bartlett hit the headlines in 2019 with an astonishing sixty-three goals in a season, forty coming in nineteen league starts as Town won the South West Division One Title.

Bartlett has also enjoyed spells at Cheltenham Town and Cardiff City, her time with the Bluebirds coming at a time when current City Manager Abbie Britton Captained the side, the pair also teaming up at Bristol Academy.

An instinctive goalscorer with experience of winning titles, Britton is delighted with the new signing. “I’ve know Barts for a long time and have looked at bringing her down this way before, thankfully the timing is right for both of us now.”

City had a gap in the squad to fill following the retirement of Tash Knapman and Bartlett was top of the Grecians list to fill that departure. “Tash was a big loss, that experience and composure is vital in winning leagues. Barts will offer that back into the squad and support our already talented group of forwards. I’m delighted she’s signed for us.”

Bartlett will be available for selection from this weekend and will wear the Number 27.
