📝 Match Preview: Lincoln City (A)

All you need to know about Saturday's match

16 February 2024

Exeter City will be looking to bounce back from Tuesday night's defeat as they make the long trip to the LNER Stadium on Saturday to face Lincoln City.

Tuesday night's defeat against high flying Derby County was a bump in the road of the Grecians fine form which has seen them now win four of their last six matches in Sky Bet League One.

City have also won three in a row on their travels and will be looking to extend this fine run as they travel to face Lincoln City on Saturday.

Lincoln sit just three points and two places above City in the table and come into the match on the back of Tuesday's 1-1 draw.

The LNER Stadium was the location for City's first match back in Leauge One last season, where the Grecians picked up a point in a 1-1 draw after a strong performance.

Gary Caldwell's Thoughts

City manager Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts ahead of the game.

"They have been consistent recently and have gone on an unbeaten run, so they will be confident," Gary said of the Imps.

"We know any game in this league is difficult and they will pose us a challenge. We will look at that today and start our preparation for Saturday. We're in a good place and we are confident."
