City's deadline day signing Ryan Woods has given his thoughts as he speaks for the first time since joining the club on loan from Hull City until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder, who has made over 250 appearances in the Championship, is excited to "kickstart his season" following the temporary switch from black and amber to red and white.
"It happened so quickly but it really is great to be here and i just can't wait to get going now," the former Brentford midfielder said.
"I'll be training with the lads tomorrow and I can't wait to get back on the football pitch and show everyone what I can do. It's been long overdue to be here and I'm delighted to be able to play this style of football under the gaffer, learn about everyone's roles and just get stuck in.
"We've spoken about my experience and leadership for the group and I'll help in whatever way possible, on or off the pitch. I just want to get going and help the group. I'm not known for my goals but hopefully I can contribute in all the other ways.
"I'd like to think I'm a player who can calm things down, get on the ball and dominate the game for us, and I can be one of those cool heads in a high pressure situation. I want to focus on this loan and get back to the form I know I am capable of, which in turn will help the group.
"I've got a real hunger again."
