Defender Cheick Diabate has given his thoughts ahead of City's trip to the Memorial Stadium to face Bristol Rovers on Tuesday evening.
The 22-year-old is one of just four members of the squad who remain from the Grecians' last outing against the Gas - a thrilling 4-3 win in December 2022 - and he is looking forward to facing former City boss Matt Taylor.
"I owe a lot to Matt as he gave me my debut, but even before that too. He taught me the basics of being a defender but obviously tomorrow we're up against him and I will doing my best to keep a clean sheet against his squad," Cheick said.
"It'll be interesting to see how he sets up his team against us, but we are more thamn capable of dealing with whatever it is and we're looking forward to tomorrow.
"Whenever we play Rovers it is a good environment and it has always had that big game feeling to it, with a top atmosphere. I am looking forward to it and all the boys are, we're all thinking about getting the win there to be honest."
