Pierce Sweeney played the full 90 minutes as City suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Blackpool.
This match marked club captain, Sweeney's 350th appearance for the Grecians. On that, Sweeney said, "football's a strange game, I came here here eight years ago and made my debut away at Blackpool and made my 350th appearance for Exeter away at Blackpool. It's a really proud moment."
On the opposition, Sweeney said, "they're a really good side, a big football club, with the best home form in the league but I thought we put ourselves under pressure, especially in the first half."
City conceded their second quickly in the second half, although Sweeney said, "I don't think it deflated us, I think we come out of our shell when we're behind and I'm not too sure why that is. I think we've got to be more confident when it's 0-0."
