Good luck with your recovery, Ryan ❤️

Ryan Trevitt has been recalled by parent club Brentford.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined City on a season-long loan in July and made 20 appearances in red and white, scoring five times and putting in a series of impressive performances during his first loan in men’s football. Ryan was named the fans’ Player and Goal of the Month for October.

Ryan sadly suffered a long-term injury in City’s match at Cambridge United on December 22 and heads back to Brentford for his rehabilitation.

The club thanks Brentford for the loan of Ryan and their support and understanding during his time with us and hope to build an even stronger relationship with Brentford.

Speaking about Ryan, manager Gary Caldwell said: “We are gutted that Ryan has suffered an injury that will keep him out for a significant period of the remainder of the season. He has been in fantastic form for us and has created some memorable moments since joining, scoring the winner at Burton Albion and two incredible goals against Middlesbrough during our fantastic Carabao Cup run.

“I would like to thank Phil Giles, Lee Dykes and Steven Pressley for their professionalism in how they have dealt with the whole process. Allowing us to loan Ryan in pre-season was beneficial in making his time at the club a success, along with the communication throughout and how they have dealt with Ryan since his injury."

All at Exeter City wish Ryan all the best with his recovery from injury.
