📝 Match Preview: Bolton Wanderers (H)

All you need to know ahead of Saturday's match

9 March 2024

Exeter City return to action to host high-flying Bolton Wanderers at St James Park on Saturday in a 3pm kick-off.

The match is the first of our 'Her Game Too' double header with the aim to promote 'Football for everyone', with Exeter City Women hosting Maidenhead United Women at the Park on Sunday in a 2pm kick-off.

City will be looking to get back to winning ways at the Park, after last Saturday's narrow defeat to promotion contenters Peterborough United.

The Grecians are up against another side pushing for automatic promotion and will be looking to show how far they have come since the sides met last in November.

Gary Caldwell's thoughts

Men's first team manager Gary Caldwell and women's first team joint-managers Abbie Britton and Aaron Wakley have sat down together at the Cliff Hill Training Ground to preview this weekend's double header at SJP.

Her Game Too Weekend

The men’s Sky Bet League One clash with Bolton Wanderers and women’s FA Women’s National League Division One South West fixture with Maidenhead United will shine a light on the work of Her Game Too in tackling sexism within football.

For both matches, the two sides will warm up in Her Game Too t-shirts and there will be stadium announcements, big screen graphics and articles in the match day programme about Her Game Too. Alongside this, Her Game Too will be providing mini-flags for supporters, and there will be a selfie board in the fan zone for supporters to grab some pre-match snaps.

We will also be promoting the campaign across our social media channels to highlight some of the issues faced by women within a sporting environment.

Matchday Family Fun

Going to the football with your family is the perfect way to make memories you treasure, and at St James Park there is plenty on offer pre-match to keep the whole family entertained, and ensure a special day out.
