The Sky League One fixtures have been revealed, with fans now able to plan their seasons at SJP and on the road. We have selected some of the key dates for supporters to keep an eye on and get your teeth stuck into.
Opening Day
Exeter City will travel to Doncaster Rovers on the opening weekend of the 2025/26 League One season on Saturday, August 2.
Doncaster Rovers were promoted as champions from League Two last season, securing the title on the final day of the campaign.
The away fixture at the Eco-Power Stadium will take place on Easter Monday, April 6.
First Home Game
Just like two years ago, our first home game of the season will be against Blackpool. In August 2023 we drew 0-0, and this time the match will take place on Saturday, August 9.
Devon Derby
The fixture all supporters have been waiting for, Plymouth Argyle, will take place first at home on Saturday, October 25 – though of course this is subject change should it be picked up by Sky Sports.
The away match at Home Park is scheduled for Saturday, April 11 – four games from the end of the season.
Festive Fixtures
There are two home games and two away games over the Christmas period, with City handed a home match against Barnsley on Saturday, December 20.
Boxing Day this year will see the Grecians travel to Cardiff City, with a first ever trip to the Cardiff City Stadium. Three days later, on Monday, December 29, we will then head to AFC Wimbledon.
New Year’s Day will see Luton Town visit St James Park for the first time since the then-Premier League outfit were beaten in the Carabao Cup in October 2023.
Easter Weekend
On Good Friday we will travel away to Blackpool, while on Easter Monday we will host Doncaster Rovers.
International Break Fixtures
As always, there is a risk of some fixtures being postponed due to international call-ups. The following fixtures currently fall within a designated international windows:
- Rotherham (A) – Saturday, September 6
- Reading (H) – Saturday, October 11
- Leyton Orient (A) – Saturday, November 15
- Leyton Orient (H) – Saturday, March 28
Final Day
On the final day of the season we will host Bradford City on Saturday, May 2. Our final away game is one week prior, Saturday, April 25, away at Burton Albion.

Tickets
Tickets for our home fixtures in August will go on sale on Tuesday, July 1, at midday, to GOLD Supporters Trust Members. SILVER members will be able to purchase from midday on Friday, July 4, and BRONZE from Sunday, July 6, at midday. General Sale for these three fixtures will go on sale on Monday, July 7, at midday.
For all Trust Members wanting to buy a ticket in the priority window, you will be able to, unless you are already a Season Ticket holder. In this instance, you will have to wait until we go to General Sale, to purchase any further tickets.
In regard to our away fixtures, these will be announced in due course, following discussions with the other club.
