Exeter City Assistant Manager Dan Green said it was a 'massive effort' from the whole team to pick up a draw and bonus point against Oxford United in the Jersey Mike's Trophy at SJP.
Taylor Perry's early strike and a Josh Gordon stunner was matched by Bradney, and an unfortunate Fitzwater own-goal. Then Frankie Phillips' heroics earned City the bonus point.
Speaking after the match, Dan said: "I think we went into the game with nine unavailable for it and then obviously losing Sonny in the warm up put us to ten.
"I thought that everyone that went out on that pitch tonight gave so much effort. I think everyone that came to watch tonight would have seen a team that was full of endeavour, full of work rate and their application. I thought they deserved the extra bonus point with the penalty win. So full credit to them. And not only for the effort, but there was certainly some really good attacking moments as well."
