Frankie Phillips made two stops in the penalty shootout to secure an additional point for Exeter City as they drew against Oxford United in the Jersey Mike's Trophy.
An early goal that gave the Grecians the lead bred confidence for Frankie and the team: "I think it sets the tone for the game. I think you get the early goal in any game I think that's really important, you go and then you sort of build momentum off the back of that. And I think we did that just without the goal to back it up in the game. And then obviously Josh got the second goal to make it 2-1. And I think that kicked us on even more. And then in the second half I thought we dug really, really deep to take it to a draw."
While qualification isn't yet secured, Frankie reflected on the campaign so far: "Yeah I think I think it's been brilliant. Obviously we're undefeated if you look at it in, in a sense, but we've just got to hope that that is enough points to get through. And if it's not, I think the lads will still be pleased with technically an undefeated campaign in that competition. So I think overall I think we're pretty pleased."
