Exeter City assistant manager Dan Green has said the team need to 'believe in themselves' ahead of Tuesday night's clash with Barnet at SJP.
The Grecians will be looking to put Saturday's disappointment behind them after the 2-1 defeat to York City, when they host a Barnet side that have adapted strongly to their return to the EFL.
Speaking after the York match, Dan said: "The big theme and the focus for us will be how we start the game on Tuesday night, certainly how we get the crowd behind us and with that quick turnaround, they'll have to travel down to us. So it's important that we start the game with a real energy and purpose about us.
"Barnet have got a real continuity in terms of the manager and in terms of the playing group. I think they've got a real goal threat as they showed again today coming back into the game after being two one down. We've already obviously started our preparation for them, and I think really with us being a relatively new group, the focus has to be on us.
"It has to be on our performance level. It has to be about the individuals finding their rhythm at this level of football, and being able to show their quality on the pitch. I think we have to actually believe in ourselves as well. Some of those young players, the manager will often say to him he believes in them, and I think it's time for them to step up and believe in themselves as well."
