Dan pre Wycombe Wanderers

Exeter City interim manager Dan Green has given his thoughts ahead of Tuesday night's match against Wycombe Wanderers at SJP.

It was confirmed today that Gary Caldwell has departed the club for Wigan Athletic and that Dan is taking Interim charge of the club on Tuesday night.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Dan said: "I'm really grateful for the opportunity Gary gave me. I think he's done it for a lot of people at the football club. There is a real sense of wanting to see him go on and do well and a sense of gratitude towards him and an awareness he leaves a positive legacy at this football club."

On the Chairboys, Dan added: "Whenever you play Michael Duff's teams they are always well organised and he gets the best out of the team. I know the talent they bring and feel as a group they have more points at this point of the season. We understand the challenge but know we are at home and know what we are like when we play in-front of our fans and we are ready to deliver that."

On the importance of the fans, Dan said: "Tomorrow night we need the fans - the players and staff need them and we have to be together."
