Ed Turns previews Wycombe Wanderers (H)

Ed Turns pre Wycombe

Ed Turns has found his spot in the City back line once again after recovering from injury, and looks for more magic under the lights at St James Park against Wycombe Wanderers tomorrow night.

It was announced on Monday, 16th February that Gary Caldwell had left Exeter City to rejoin his former club in Wigan Athletic with Ed Turns summarising the thoughts and feelings of the squad after the news.

"Nothing's changed too much really, you hear a lot of noise from the news but nothing changes through the week."

Caldwell recruited Turns in January 2025 and worked with the defender for a little over a year before leaving to take up the vacant position at the Bricks Community Stadium.

"We had personal conversations about him obviously being a centre-half, him having his experiences and trying to teach me the different sides of the game."

City now return to action on Tuesday night when they host Wycombe Wanderers at SJP, the Grecians already getting the better of the Chairboys twice this season.

"The main thing is that they've got some really good players, and they're a good side."

"We've beaten them twice, but at the same time we know what they're like and know that they'll be a real threat."
