Following City's 1-1 draw away at Torquay United, Dan Green shared his thoughts.

City led through Jayden Wareham's goal at the start of the first half, before a late equaliser from the hosts meant both sides had to settle for a draw.

"I think we got a lot from it," the City coach said. "The individuals got a lot from that get, whether it's the experienced players finalising their last pre-season game or the younger players getting an experience of an outstanding crowd, it was a good evening for us to get a lot from.

"As a group we're a lot closer to where we need to be."

Towards the end of the game, several under-18 players came off the bench to feature in front of what would've been for many the largest crowd of their career to date, something Dan said would be crucial for their development.

"It's huge for their development, that first taste of playing in front of the fans at that end was huge for them, and probably took them 5-10 minutes when they came on to get used to it.

"A fantastic experience for them."
