Ryan Rydel was brought into the club with the promise of assists, and against Torquay tonight he delivered with a fantastic cross met by Jayden Wareham's head.
That goal put City 1-0 up against the Gulls, and despite a late equaliser, it was a positive night for the Stockport-loanee.
"It was good to get 60 minutes in the legs, I've had two 45s so far so it's good to build up," said the wing-back, discussing how his fitness has grown throughout pre-season building up to this fixture.
On the goal, Ryan explained how he'd discussed the set-up with Jayden before the match.
"I just told him (Jayden) whenever I get the ball I'm just going to be trying to get it out of my feet and put it into the box so just make your movement early."
