Following City's defeat in the Vertu Trophy, Grecians midfielder Ed Francis shared his thoughts.
The number eight played the full 90 minutes for the second time this season, and while he wasn't happy with the result, Ed was pleased with the manor of the Grecians' performance.
"Disappointed, I don't think we deserved it, we had enough chances. I think we've scored one, maybe two, there was one in the first half that looked like it was in to me.
"I think, performance wise, especially in the second half we showed intent, which is what we needed to do and I think we lacked that on Saturday, so I think reaction wise in terms of the performance it was positive."
After a run out of the team and on the bench, Ed returned to the eleven this evening after playing a large chunk of Saturday's match against Port Vale.
"It's been a difficult start to the season for me, my performances haven't been where I want them to be but it's something I'm working on, I'm trying to realise to take it day-by-day, enjoy the hard work and hopefully turn those things around."
