Exeter City goalkeeper Frankie Phillips knows that the Grecians will be in for a big test, as League One side Oxford United head to SJP in the Jersey Mike's Trophy on Tuesday night, 7pm.

City know that a win over Oxford United will give them the chance of making it through to the knockout stages, after the 2-0 win over Spurs U21 and the 2-2 draw at Cheltenham Town.

Reflecting on the Grecians returning to winning ways on Saturday, Frankie said: "It was massive for us as a team and for Anthony, obviously on his debut. It was a massive three points, much needed and I think we will kick on now.

"We just need to build on that because we're more than capable. I think we're in a false position right now in the league table, and I think we can kick on and be a lot more successful than we're doing right now. But I think there's more to come from us as a group as well.

City face on paper their hardest test of the competition so far, taking on League One side Oxford City under the lights, and Frankie knows the team is up for a tough match: "It's going to be a tough game as they are a League One side. Obviously they haven't played the game in this competition yet, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with and how they play and who they bring.

"I think it's a bigger challenge and a more of an opportunity for the younger players like myself to show what you're about against a League One opposition. It'll be a tough test, but a test that we're looking forward to and a test we want to go out and win to try and progress into the knockout stages."
