Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell was left frustrated by the Grecians 1-1 draw with Reading at SJP.
An early mistake allowed Jack Marriott to give the Royals the lead before Jayden Wareham struck against his former side to give City a share of the points.
Speaking after the match, Gary said: "I'm frustrated as we were the better side in the first half. I said to the players we have to understand when it's our moment to kill the game and get in front.
"We give a poor goal away - I said to Johnly I thought he was outstanding - football is a game of mistakes and it's how you react to them. We reacted well and got back into the game quickly and should come into half time leading and I thought we paid the price for that second half."
