Gary Caldwell on Leyton Orient defeat

Gary Caldwell post Leyton Orient (A)

Second half strikes from Mizouni and Bakinson will have left a bitter taste in the mouths of the travelling Grecians, none more-so than manager Gary Caldwell.

A penalty to City in the closing stages of the first half allowed Jayden Wareham to step up and score his seventh goal of the season in all competitions, Caldwell thankful for his scoring prowess "I thought the front players were excellent out of posession; Jayden, Jack Aitchison who came into the team, and Reece were excellent."

A defensive road-block from the Grecians for the first 74 minutes of the game had kept the ball out of the City net and despite two late goals, Gary was full of praise for his team during the bulk of the 90. "For 74 minutes I thought we were outstanding, full commitment the game plan, restricting a team that is very dangerous on transition and counter-attacks."

A sudden shift in the momentum of the game came with 15 minutes to go, Mizouni levelling the scoring before Bakinson would net the winner five minutes later. "Two really poor goals to concede, we just didn't finish the game off the get the result that I thought we deserved."
