Gary Caldwell previews FA Cup trip to Halifax Town (A)

Gary Caldwell pre Halifax

Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has said the Grecians need to make sure they are not a 'Cup upset' on Saturday, as they take on National League side Halifax Town in the Emirates FA Cup.

The Grecians will be looking for a repeat of last season's FA Cup antics which saw them reach the fourth round and hold Premier League side Nottingham Forest to a 2-2 draw in extra time before losing on penalties.

Ahead of the 3pm kick-off Gary said: "There are always upsets and we have to make sure come Saturday night we are not one of them.

"I went to see them play York when I was back home after the Plymouth game and I was pleased I got to go and watch them and see the environment we are going into to see what the game might be like and I can pass that on to the players. The analysts have worked extremely hard like they always do but it's often more difficult for these games in terms of the type of footage we can get and show the players.

"It's the exact same process as we would do for any game in League One and we have to make sure the players know exactly what they are going to go into and how to get us through to the next round."
