Gary Caldwell has given his reaction as Exeter City ended the season with a 3-0 defeat to Mansfield Town at the One Call Stadium.
Despite City hitting the post twice amongst 19 efforts on goal, the hosts were clinical and led 2-0 at the break before a counter attacking strike added a third for the hosts to place the Grecians 16th in the Sky Bet League One table.
"And then the second half was more of the same, creating chances, and I think if we score to go 2-1 then it's game on, but we shoot ourselves in the the foot late on for 3-0.
"But as a whole, you can't take away from the season as a whole. We have really had to dig in as a football club from January to get points on the board and ensure a fourth season in League One, which is a big achievement.
"But we have to improve and get better and that is my responsibility as a manager."
