Ilmari Niskanen reacts to win against Stevenage

Ilmari Niskanen shone once again in City's 3-0 demolition of Stevenage at SJP in Sky Bet League One.

The Grecians would need to bounce back after a tough weekend in the North-West, exiting the FA Cup at the hands of Manchester City. "A massive win. Last Saturday was a massive disappointment for everybody so we were full of desire and hunger to show everybody and prove to ourselves how good of a team we can be."

"We showed it again today, our home form has been absolutely brilliant for the last three or four months." Now unbeaten at home since September, the Grecians also produced their fifth straight home win and fifth straight home clean sheet. 

Winning the December Player & Goal of the Month for Exeter City, Niskanen was also nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month however came up just short after what has been a tremendous spell of performances for the Fin. "I feel my confidence is really high at the moment, my fitness levels are better than they have ever been in my career."

"What matters is that the team get the win, and we managed it again today at home."

Settling back into third tier normality, the City faithful once again put on a boisterous display to cheer the Grecians on for another win in what has been such as successful spell of results for the team in the league. "Massively important as always. Can't highlight enough how much it means to me and the team."
