Jack Bycroft and the Exeter City team travel to the LNER Community Stadium on Saturday to face York City in more Sky Bet League Two action.
Reflecting on the first points pickup of the season and a clean sheet, Jack Bycroft gave his final thoughts on City's 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley the previous weekend. "I think it was a solid performance, it was a business-like performance, you know. We had a job to do and we did it. It was nice for me to watch the lads, and not have to do too much. And yeah I think we dealt with it well and it was nice to get three points on the board in front of the home fans, and I think that's going to be important for us this year at home."
The first clean sheet of the season now sets Jack up with a foundation to build off of for the rest of the season. "Yeah of course, I mean it's what we have to do, the defenders and the goalkeeper. Like I said, I didn't have too much to do, which was nice so you know, hopefully I'll take a few more of those that don't have to do too much. But yeah, it's always a good base to build off of."
The devoted City supporters will set off another long journey on Saturday, a tremendous effort that Jack and the team are hugely appreciative of. "It's incredible. Obviously, the mileage and the time that the fans and everybody puts in for this club doesn't go unnoticed. You know we appreciate them coming all that way, and we'll hopefully see good numbers again at York."
