Jack McMillan was given the nod to start a game for the first time since suffering injury in January, as Exeter City hosted Bolton Wanderers at St James Park.
A 45-minute second-half cameo at the West Homes Stadium against Peterborough United a week prior was enough for Dan Green and Kevin Nicholson to put Jack McMillan in the starting XI in Exeter City's match against Bolton Wanderers, a recovery that McMillan is delighted to have made.
"It's something I'm not used, being injured, so that couple of weeks that I was out was difficult. Luckily I haven't had to experience that too much in my career."
"It was nice to start and get minutes under my belt again and get up and running. I felt pretty strong, I felt fine."
Despite Jayden Wareham's second-half strike to claw a goal back in front of the Big Bank, the Grecians couldn't contend with the Wanderers' relentless attack in the second half as they returned to the North-West 5-1 victors.
"We're disappointed with how we performed there, especially in the second half with the goals that we let in."
"I think they scored at good times as well. We got that goal back to make it 2-1 and were enjoying momentum going forward, and they scored through a corner which is something we've been iffy at this season so it's something we need to look at."
City return to action on Tuesday night when they host Burton Albion at St James Park. Tickets are on sale now, and can be bought by following this link.
