Jack Taylor on joining City on loan

Jack Taylor interview

Exeter City's latest recruit Jack Taylor has given his first interview after putting pen to paper on a season-long loan deal from League One side Stevenage.

The towering 6ft 4 central defender said he is: "Buzzing to be here and get the move over the line and to get started."

It's been a manic 24-hour period for the 21-year-old, who only found out about the interest yesterday.

"The move happened so quickly over the weekend, I got a call, and then next thing I'm driving up to Exeter to sign!"

Speaking about his journey in football, Jack said: "I played pretty much every sport when I was younger and decided football's was what I was best at and I got scouted when I was younger and made the move to Brighton, where I got scouted by Sutton. I then made my way into the first team and played half of the season last year and then made the move to Stevenage.

When asked how he would describe his game, Jack added: "I'm a big defender and like to win my aerial battles, keep the ball out of the net and hopefully score a few goals along the way."
