We are delighted to welcome defender Jack Taylor to the club on a season-long loan from EFL Sky Bet League One side Stevenage, subject to EFL approval.
The towering 6ft 4 centre back is manager Matt Taylor’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
21-year-old Jack joined Stevenage on a permanent deal from Sutton United in January 2026 for a five-figure fee. He started in the youth ranks at Eastbourne Borough and Chelsea before joining Sutton United's academy at age 16 where he would go on to make 45 appearances for the U’s after signing his first professional contract in February 2024. Jack played in Stevenage’s EFL Cup match against Reading in August this season.
Speaking about bringing Jack to Devon, manager Matt Taylor said: "We are short in the centre half department currently and he is a fantastic size with a great profile and he did really well to break through at Sutton United to earn a move to League One level.
"We are pleased that Stevenage have trusted us with this part of his development and to help him work on his game and improve as a player. He adds a profile, size and physicality which will add to the group and he seems like a player that is willing to learn and is excited about what this year will bring."
Jack will wear the No.6 shirt - welcome to Exeter, Jack!
