Jayden Wareham made history by netting the quickest ever away hattrick for an Exeter City player in the Grecians’ 3-3 draw with Peterborough United at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Despite not scoring in the opening phases, Jayden Wareham believes that City made a promising start to affairs against Peterborough.

“I think we started pretty well getting the ball down the sides and forwards. I think we had two or three chances in the first 15 minutes and we probably should have put at least two of those away."

"We have to take our chances better and we had to see the game off better without conceding those scrappy goals."

City went into the break 1-0 down before the floodgates opened in the first 15 minutes of the second half, seeing City's no.9 net his first hat-trick since signing and the fasted away hat-trick in City history.

"We didn't really go too far away from what we were doing in the first half, the only difference was that we were asking more questions in the box and putting the ball into the box more."

"I back myself in front of goal, so I'm just lucky they landed for me today and I was able to score the hat-trick."

The Grecians once again travelled in terrific numbers, with over 300 supporters greeting the team in the Weston Homes Stadium and cheering throughout.

"I say it time and time again, the fans have been unbelievable this season. They come in numbers and they back us all the way, we were one down going into half-time and they still got behind us."

"They know that we can come back and score goals."
