Matt Taylor on City's huge game with Bradford City (H)

Matt Taylor pre Bradford City

Exeter City interim Manager Matt Taylor has given his preview of Saturday's HUGE clash with Bradford City at a sold out SJP.

The Grecians go into the 3pm kick-off knowing that City must win the match and hope that Leyton Orient draw or lose to Burton Albion, to stay up in League One. Speaking ahead of the match, Matt said:

"It's irrelevant if we don't take care of business ourselves. Our form going into it has been so positive in how strong and solid we've looked at a team but without getting that real winning moment like Doncaster. It's something we've worked on all week and the task is a straightforward one where we will be giving it our all.

"Heroic moments are etched in our history and there are names and moments which fans will talk about - right now they will talk about the last moment in the last home game of Jack's goal and that can't be the biggest moment in our season. We want a bigger one to come this weekend and it could be anyone. The players have that responsibility, and they are the lucky ones to have that opportunity.

When asked what it would mean to Matt and the players to stay up after a difficult season, Matt said: "Nothing hurts more for a manager than when your team doesn't perform the way you want it to and nothing hurts more as a player when you don't play the way you want to and get the wins you need. It means everything this weekend and the responsibility and accountability can't just be with the players, I think there is a bigger picture in terms of where the club is at right now and it's been difficult.

"This weekend there will be no excuses. It's us against a fantastic footballing team and a game I'm looking forward to and I want the players to look forward to."
