Exeter City manager Matt Taylor has said he felt that today was a 'winning performance' as the Grecians were held to a goalless draw by Walsall at SJP.
City made the best of the chances at there Park but were just unable to get the ball over the line and had to settle for a draw.
Speaking after the match, Matt said: "We feel it's a winning performance. And that's no disrespect to a very good Walsall team. We've created the best chances. Should have scored at least one, if not more.
"I thought we had the better of the game. I didn't quite capitalise on our set piece opportunities. They always had a threat. They always will do. They've got some fantastic players and a well structured team, but I felt we kept them at bay. I can't remember too much Jack Bycroft had to do or many to many periods of sustained pressure.
"That's the best we've been with the ball while we've created those chances. We just didn't get that final moment going in our way, or that extra little bit of skill, or a little bit of luck, or just making it happen, hitting the back of the net. But we're okay right now. I've just said to the group of players, and I understand where we've been in the last couple of months and what we've been working towards right now."
