Exeter City manager Matt Taylor has said that he 'owes a lot to Exeter City' ahead of Saturday's match against Tranmere Rovers that marks 125 years of City.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Matt said: "It's a special club. For those for supporters who've been there through thick and thin from the very start of their lives and for a long time I think this weekend is extra special. And then there's people like myself and the players and staff who have played their part in certain moments within that.
"We've had some fantastic times, both on and off the pitch. It's going to be special this weekend. But you always feel moments like this and celebrations like this remind you of what is special about this football club. And it is the people."
City host a Tranmere side that have picked up some strong results so far this season, and sit in tenth place after six games. Speaking on their threats, Matt said: "They have a lot of know how, and a lot of experience. They have great legs in certain areas of the pitch, and have got a very strong front line, well supported by real quality in the middle of the park.
"They have good physical profiles on the outside of the pitch. So a clear formula with success or expected success at this level. But we're at home. We know we've played some good opposition at home so far this season. Tranmere will be exactly the same. So we're expecting a full blooded game and a game where we take the game to the opposition."
