Exeter City manager Matt Taylor was pleased with his sides performance, as the Grecians beat Weston-super-Mare 2-0 at the Optima Stadium as the pre-season preparations continued.
A pair of headers from strikers Sonny Cox and Josh Gordon earned City the win on a windy afternoon in Weston.
Speaking after the match, Matt said: "There are still lots of areas we need to tidy up on and improve on. I liked the general intent of the team. I like the structure. I like the shape. I like the way we went about our work this afternoon, and we probably should have scored more goals than we did.
"I can't remember Jack Bycroft having a real save or real moment where he's affected the game, and that's no disrespect to the opposition. I thought we defended the large parts of the pitch pretty well, and we had a real threat about us in that first half breaking through, and hopefully the next couple of weeks he'll hit the target in those moments."
