Exeter City summer signing Josh Gordon contributed with a second-half goal in the Grecians' 2-0 win over Weston-super-Mare in the season pre-season game of the campaign.
A week on from a tough test against Truro City, Josh was pleased with the response he and the team made this afternoon. "I think the things that we've been working on since the Truro game has improved us. We've actually come to a competitive game and then got a result, I know it's not about results yet, but you want to try and get that winning feeling."
Speaking about his goal in the second half of the game, Josh said: "It's always nice to try and get a goal, I got one a couple of weeks ago [in a behind-closed-doors friendly], but to do it in a competitive game - that's when you want to do it. You want to do it especially in front of the fans."
City are hosting an open training sessions at St James Park on Wednesday, 29th July with Josh looking forward to the event: "Like I said when I've been there previously it's always been good. So to feel it as a home player would be nice to get that before the season starts."
