Exeter City manager Matt Taylor has provided an update as the Grecians returned for pre-season training during the UK's heatwave.
Day one sees the players report back to the Cliff Hill Training Ground for testing and light ball work on the grass.
Speaking in the afternoon Matt joked "No one was sick, which is always a bonus! But as you guys have seen a lot of the physical work, a lot of testing was done in those with all the equipment and the facilities we've got here at the training ground, which we're grateful for and we're thankful for, and we're lucky to have.
"Everything inside has been used to the best of its ability today to give us some reading, some data, something to fall back on when the players are in a different capacity, maybe coming back from injury or at their fittest point, different stages of the season. So the first couple of days are always about generating a lot of information, which will be used as time goes on."
"We did a short session out on the pitch with ball use and football movements today. And there's going to be some physical activity on the pitch tomorrow."
