After Exeter City's 2-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town at St James Park, Pat Jones shared his thoughts on the performance.
The Welshman was handed a starting spot and played a key role as City secured all three points. Reflecting on the game, he was pleased with both the result and the team’s display.
"Really pleasing - ultimately, the win was the most important thing, but I thought we put in a really good performance," Pat said.
"Everyone, starters and finishers, played their part, and it's exactly what we needed.
"We saw this as a great opportunity to get three points, and we made sure to take it. Overall, I'm really happy with both the result and the way we played."
Having spent the first few months of his City career sidelined through injury, Pat has recently returned to the squad and was delighted to make his second start.
"I'm still working on getting my sharpness back after the injury, but I feel like I'm improving with every game. I really enjoyed being out there today."
