Taylor Perry previews trip to Shrewsbury Town (A)

Taylor Perry pre Shrewsbury Town

Exeter City midfielder Taylor Perry has said the team are growing into the season now, as he prepares to head to face his former club on Saturday at the Croud Meadow.

It's been a positive week for the Grecians after picking up the win over Rotherham United at SJP in League Two, and then following up with a draw with League One side Oxford United in the Jersey Mike's Trophy, where Taylor scored his first City goal.

Speaking ahead of returning to face his former side, Taylor said: "I'm enjoying my football. I've played the last few games and started to get a bit of rhythm, flow and momentum in the game. So it's definitely one where I look at it and I want to continue to keep helping the team and obviously scoring last night -  I want to carry that on and hopefully keep scoring goals and creating chances for the team. That's where I enjoy my football the most.

On returning to Shrewsbury on Saturday, Taylor added: "I know a lot of the players there from previous seasons there. It's always going to be a tough game there. They've got some good players. I know many of them very well, good mates with a few of them.

"Going into the Croud Meadow it's always a hard place to go, but we're going to go there fully focused and try and bring the three points back."
