Exeter City return to Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday afternoon as the Grecians make the trip to Croud Meadow to face Shrewsbury Town.
City will be looking to build on last weekend’s impressive 1-0 victory over Rotherham United at St James Park in the League.
Matt Taylor’s side have shown plenty of resilience in recent weeks, with the win over Rotherham following a goalless draw with Tranmere Rovers and a narrow defeat away at Bristol Rovers. City also drew 2-2 with Oxford United in midweek in the EFL Trophy.
Saturday’s hosts will be looking to respond after a midweek EFL Trophy defeat, with Shrewsbury beaten 2-0 at home by Stockport County on Tuesday night. However, the Shrews have enjoyed a positive result in their most recent league outing, coming from behind to beat Grimsby Town 2-1 away from home on October 3.
Shrewsbury have made a mixed start to their League Two campaign, recording three wins, two draws and four defeats from their opening nine league matches. They have scored nine goals and conceded 14 during that period.
With another important League Two test ahead, Taylor and his players will be aiming to take confidence from last weekend’s victory and return from Shropshire with another strong result
Kick-off at the Croud Meadow is at 3pm, with over 300 tickets already snapped up for the trip!
