As we prepare for the new season, we'd like to update supporters on a number of changes to our ticketing procedures.
These updates are designed to improve the overall ticketing experience for supporters attending matches at St James Park or following the Grecians away from home. They will also help us enhance stadium operations, improve safety and safeguarding, and provide a more efficient service on matchdays.
Home Ticket Purchases
One Ticket Per Attendee
From this season, all home match tickets must be assigned to the individual who will be attending the match.
This change allows us to maintain a more accurate record of who is in the stadium on matchdays. It supports our safety and stewarding teams in responding to incidents, assists with safeguarding responsibilities, and helps identify individuals if required by the police or other authorities.
Assigning Tickets
When purchasing tickets online, you will now be asked to assign each ticket to the supporter who will be using it.
While this may take a little longer the first time you purchase tickets, the process becomes much quicker for future bookings. Once supporters have been added to your account, they can be selected easily whenever you purchase tickets again.
You can assign a ticket by:
- Entering the supporter's Exeter City ticketing account number, or
- Adding a new supporter by entering their name and date of birth, which will automatically create and assign their ticketing record.
Matchday Ticket Sales
Supporters purchasing tickets on a matchday will also need an Exeter City ticketing account, with all tickets assigned to the individual attending.
To avoid queues and speed up entry, we strongly encourage supporters to purchase tickets online before matchday whenever possible.
If you do need to buy a ticket from the Ticket Booth, please ensure you already have an active ticketing account. Due to the increased demand on matchdays, staff will not be able to create new accounts at the ticket window.
Supporters Under the Age of 14
From this season, all supporters under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over when attending matches at St James Park. Any supporter under the age of 14 who arrives without an accompanying adult will not be admitted to the stadium.
This policy helps us ensure that, should an incident occur on a matchday, we have the details of a responsible adult available for safeguarding and welfare purposes.
Ticket Forwarding
Ticket forwarding will continue for the 2026/27 season, with an important improvement for supporters.
Previously, when a Season Ticket holder forwarded their seat to another supporter, the recipient was required to pay the difference between the Season Ticket value and the matchday ticket price. From this season, that additional charge will no longer apply, unless the ticket is being upgraded to a different concession category.
We hope this change will encourage more Season Ticket holders to forward their tickets when they are unable to attend a match, helping to ensure more seats are filled and creating an even better atmosphere at St James Park.
Updated Home E-Tickets
Supporters may have already noticed a new look for our home e-tickets ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Each e-ticket now includes a coloured panel that corresponds with the stand in which your seat is located. This will help stewards and Supporter Ambassadors direct fans more quickly and easily if they need assistance finding their seat.
The colours are:
- Adam Stansfield Stand: Red
- Main Stand: Blue
- Big Bank: Yellow
- St James Road Stand: Green
These colours are also reflected on tickets saved to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, making it even easier to identify the correct stand at a glance. We hope this small change will make navigating St James Park even simpler for both new and returning supporters.
Away Ticketing
Following the successful introduction of e-tickets for selected away fixtures last season, including trips to Manchester City, Peterborough United and Barnsley, we are pleased to expand their availability for the 2026/27 season wherever possible.
Feedback from our supporter survey showed that the majority of fans preferred the convenience of e-tickets over traditional paper tickets. As a result, we will continue working with Kaizen Ticketing and fellow Sky Bet League Two clubs to offer e-tickets for as many away fixtures as possible.
Supporters who prefer a printed copy can simply print their e-ticket at home. Alternatively, the Ticket Office will be happy to assist if required.
Please note that some away fixtures will still require physical tickets, depending on the arrangements made by the host club.
Ahead of each away fixture, we will confirm whether tickets will be issued as e-tickets or physical tickets, along with all relevant sales information.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. These changes are being introduced to create a safer, smoother and more enjoyable matchday experience for everyone at St James Park.
We look forward to welcoming you throughout the 2026/27 season.
