Exeter City Football Club is delighted to announce that Kevin McDonald has rejoined the club on a one-year deal.
The 36-year-old’s contract with the Grecians expired at the end of the last season but he returned to the Cliff Hill Training Ground in pre-season after being invited back by Gary Caldwell to join the group, and has now been offered a deal.
McDonald initially arrived in Devon in January 2023 on a short-term deal until the end of the 2023-24 season, and after a season with Bradford City, signed again with the Grecians in November 2024 until the end of 2024-25.
As well as bringing his midfield tenacity back to the team, McDonald will this year play an important role in the side as a coach, bringing his years of expertise from across the football pyramid into the squad.

Manager Gary Caldwell said: “This is the third time we have signed him! He is a great person to have around the group, with great experience and great quality.
“He’s getting on, but he showed last year he can still contribute, but he has a wider role to play off the pitch for us this year where he starts to do some more coaching for us to assist he future career.
“But he is still very much a player with a big role to play.”
Kevin will wear the number 29 shirt.
